Car Series Final Experiment

What Worked?
The only thing that worked for me in this was that the stories of each scene really went smooth with all the scenes, and that it created they own style as it changed through. I also like the sound effects and narrative used in this that creates are space between the artist and the illustrations.
  
What Didn't Work?
The experiment in the beginning really changed the feeling because of the quality of the illustrations that caused the look that didn't look well in the end. But thats why you experiment to see what works and what doesn't.

What Next?

Adding more of the car series that i didn't put into the video, which will balance the video. First i will remove the old illustration images to make the visual side better.

Car Series Video: Opa & Saini

I experimented with the layout and how i can create are story just by having the images change and background music to fill in that side of the visual. I really like the way it look and how it makes it easier coming up with a narrative that best suits the illustrations. 

Car Series #4 Old BCA Students

I was lucky enough to have this in my car scene, having my friends who i asked during the week if i can take photos for my car series. The good thing about this is that they are old students who studied here at FOCA and that they suited being in the car series.  

Illustrating them was are good process for me only because they had props in it that really filled the middle and the background which made it unique in the finish product.

Car Series #3 Night Out

The first three images are the original one's and the rest is after post production, this has to be my best car series illustrations by far from having to deal with the lighting and situation of the images. It was a good experiment for me to have, once i illustrated the images i knew straight away that i will have to think about a night out that me and my brother shared.

The last image of me makes it more interesting when it comes to someone being to drunk to talk or even keep their eyes open.  

Car Series Experiment:

From the illustrations of my car series in the beginning i believe that i have progressed since i had the chance to take photos for my new car series. I recently edited this to experiment and see if it would fit but as images these illustrations are good, the quality doesn't fit in but it suits to be are experiment.

Images that i used for this were screenshots of my experiments that i did in semester 1. My new series of work are upgraded from here where i found that i didn't want to use these illustrations in my final car series.

Car Series Video #2

Fathers Day 

The reason why i gave this car scene this title because on fathers day i took the images and it showed me how special each other are to me and my family which made me think about my own father. I really like this video and i am happy that i had the chance to edit this and put it into my car series as the main subject.

Car Series #2 Fathers Day

This week i added a few images that i wanted to illustrate for my brother and nephews car series, and i really like the final outcome. Just brainstorming are good storyline to go with the illustrations.

This has to be my favourite image out of the six only because it speaks for itself and shows the love that they have for each other in one illustration. It's a strong illustration that i will use in most of the scene. 

What Worked?

Taking the photo's on the day was a good chance for me to get natural photos and that really helped me with what i wanted to achieve in this part of the series.

What Didn't Work?

The hardest thing again was trying to get good lighting in the real photos which helps me in post production. 

What Next?

Experimenting with storyline of this scene and using what i have to achieve are good car series. Will take more photos this week and upload the progress. 

Car Series Video #1

This was the end result into my first car series with sound and effects in the background. When i was experimenting with storyline and post production i thought about the memories that i've shared with my brother which makes the situations real for me. I aim to make a series of work for my car series, to have real stories that i have experience to gain that South Auckland stories.  

Car Series #1 Brother

This is the first from my car series that i worked on with my brother, i really like that i had the chance to experiment with position and contrast with the help of my younger sister who helped me towards my images. This was a chance for me to get creative and get shots that i wanted in my illustration car series. 

I really liked the idea of a window washer because everyday we are faced with more than two or three that we either let them wash your window or say no. Having this in my car series was a good way to show that i am from South Auckland.

What Worked?

Going into my experiments i didn't know how i was going to achieve the things i wanted until i tried new ideas and a new look into my illustrations.

What Didn't Work?

The only hard thing for me was trying to get the images at a good brightness and contrast so it will be easier for me to illustrate my images. 

What Next?

I will continue to carry on with my car series and see what i can work on and achieve in the next few weeks of study.

Photoshoot: Brother & Sister

Today i experimented with these photos for my car series where i would take them of my brother and my sister and also getting help to include me into the photos. It was a good day to see what the restrictions are to see how far i would push myself to achieve my car series. 

What Worked?

Having the photos taken was a achievement itself for me as my family are busy at times with other things. But i enjoyed the look that i got from this photoshoot and it turned out really good.

What Didn't Work?

When i put the images into photoshop it was a bit hard to illustrate some of the images because of the lighting, so i had to pick and choose and adjust them as i went through the photos.

What Next?

Illustrating the images that i took and making a short snippet from them. 

Brainstorming Ideas

Ideas of my car Series

These are some of the car series ideas that i can possibly do for my end of the year capstone project. Making them 1 Minute long and putting them all together to create are short film by me. 

I really like these ideas and i will be making a date for photoshoots for my car series.

Each week i will produce a different series, from me and my brother to his son and my family and friends.
